Everyone knows about the available online earning methods on the internet. But most people think the service proving method is the only source to make money online. They learn any popular skill like Graphic designing, Web Development, Content Writing, SEO etc.
Service-Based Earning Method:
Actually, all these categories are service based categories. So you must have a professional skill and it required a professional portfolio, Samples of work, Positive Feedback and of course a marketplace where you can create an account to find the relevant job and the offer your services to the clients.
According to my 8 year experience in around 10 online earning niches, I analyzed more than 65% people adopt Freelance Services to the only source of online income. They even don’t search about the other most profitable earning methods.
Freelance Service Providers Challenges:
They try to get into the job marketplaces like upwork, fiverr, freelancer, guru and people per hour etc.
They try to get accounts which sometimes rejected for any reason but they again try to use different legal and illegal methods as they think this is the only way to make money online. So they try to use every way they can.
Let suppose, they got account on upwork that is not an easy task these days as compare to fiverr where everyone can create account and start selling gigs without any issue.
But the problem is, after creating account on upwork, freelancer, guru and others. They need to create a professional profile with an interactive overview. They have to add work samples to showcase. They have to write about their skills and abilities. Finally they need positive feedback that is the most important part in order to get hired.
Post Account Job Challenges:
A professionally crafted freelancer profile takes hours or days to become ready for submitting the proposals on the jobs. Here come two things that are challenging part of the online jobs.
- Finding the relevant job that matches the freelancers skillset
- Submitting proposal that meets the jobs requirements
This is second crucial phase and thousands of freelancers are failed in this phase because they don’t have idea about how to find the most relevant jobs at the jobs marketplaces and how to create a proposal to win the job.
Also in case they found the job, the next thing is to submit a proposal that is again a challenge. You have to tailor a super professional, attractive and to the point job proposal as quickly as possible because of the significant number of proposals that are submitted by the crowd that already available on the job marketplaces.
This is the most critical phase. You don’t have much time. You have to go through the complete job description, then analyze of required work hours, then the devilry time and the estimated cost.
Unfortunately unless you do these things, several proposal are submitted from the others so even you have created a exact relevant proposal that exactly meet the requirements of the job but there is no use to submit when you see there are already a big number of proposals have been arrived.
One solution of this problem is you can use Freelance Job proposal templates that already created with the basic essential sections. I know many Freelancers, Mentors, Gurus have different opinion for using “Proposal Templates”. Some say this is not a good way but most out of those suggest using proposal templates when there is a big crowd to submit the proposal on a single job.
Specially talking about upwork.com that is the most popular Freelance Job Marketplace on the internet it’s fully loaded with millions of services providers. You can notice in many categories, more than 20 proposals are submitted within 5 to 10 minutes after the job is posted.
Also usually a client doesn’t see more than 10 or 20 proposals at most. Even sometimes I noticed that until a freelancer created a proposal, the job was awarded within the top 5 or 10 proposals.
So I suggest use a proposal template when you are competing among the crowd. You can create proposal template that are ready to submit with little bit changes according to the buyer’s job requirements.
Like you can:
- Create proposal template with a paragraph of “overview” and buyer’s job requirement
- Second paragraph of your services
- Third paragraph of your samples and links
- Fourth paragraph of your available time zone and communication method
Also you can write couple of answers of the typical questions that usually buyers add to the job posting. So if everything is ready you can submit your proposal fast.
Always add the following line in the end of your proposal.
“Dear (Client name) or Sir/Madam”. I’ve thoroughly gone through the job description but due to heavy load of proposals, I’m submitting this already crafted proposal but I’m open to discuss on your project anytime according to your time zone. Please have a discussion in chat room or email.
I always got positive replies so this is a useful method to bring the client into the chat room where you can convince him/her to hire you for the jobs.
